Happy February 1st!!

January went out in a deep-freeze and February is beginning with a slight warming trend - positive double-digits, instead of negative ones.  It's perfect weather to stay indoors and craft!  Starting today, there are several specials Close To My Heart is offering, so check them out.

Since today is "Family Friday", I have been working on family-related projects... birthday cards for February birthdays, stitching a little on a cross-stitch piece that will be part of a wedding gift later this year, and the most fun - laundry... lots and lots of laundry.  Good thing laundry can be done while I work on the fun things.  Hopefully tomorrow I will get to work on my artwork for February's card class.

Stay warm and take some time to be creative.

It's January 2019 - Happy New Year!

A new year brings with it a new (to me) idea - labeling the days of the week.  Thought this might be a fun way to purposefully focus crafting.  Granted, life will not allow for the every day completion of projects that fall under the appropriate heading, but the headings will give me some guidance.  Who knows, I may even get MORE creating done.  <wink>  Weekends are a "free-for-all" because you just never know what your weekend will bring.  LOL

So, here they are, my crafting & inspirational headers for 2019:

Make It Monday - Start the week off by making/working on something & being creative - anything - a card, a scrapbook page, a paper crafting project - or if you prefer a knitting/crocheting/cross-stitching or other crafting project, etc.

Thankful Tuesday - Note something(s) for which you are thankful.

WooHoo Wisdom Wednesday - Write down an inspirational quote or record something good that happened.

Throwback Thursday - Create something with "older" products (supplies that have been sitting around just waiting for "some day" to be used or products that may not be found in the current Idea Book), work on (or finish) a project that was started years ago, sort through "older" photos - from 10-20 years ago or from childhood, etc.

Family Friday - Do something that celebrates family - spend time with family, do something special with/for family, make something for a family member, etc.  The focus is on your family.

We'll see how it goes.

Starting Over

After being dormant for several years, I am going to try and resurrect this blog.  Please be patient with me - I am still learning the ropes.  Thanks for taking this creative journey with me.  It is going to be fun to see where it goes.

For this first post, I am going to include a photo of a card I created:

This card features Close To My Heart's "Beautiful Friendship" Collection:  The B&T papers (X7233B), the Cardmaking Stamp Set with coordinating Thin Cuts (Z4180) along with a "Beautiful Friendship" bow (Z4195).  The rose was created with the "Beautiful You" Stamp Set and coordinating Thin Cuts (Z3384).  The inspiration for this card came straight out of the Seasonal Expressions 2 Idea Book. (Thanks CTMH!)

Colors featured:  Bashful, Canary, Sapphire, and Smoothie

Hope you enjoy the inspiration.  I hope to add more artwork and other posts soon!
